Minister Ramanath Rai Visits Kavya’s House, Consoles Parents and assures Compensation

Mangaluru: The District Minister In-charge B Ramanath Rai visited Kavya’s house and met the parents at Devaragudde, Kateel on july 30.

Minister Ramanath Rai consoled Lokesh and Baby. Seeing the minister Baby started to weep. As Baby was weeping, Ramanath Rai got emotional and consoled her. Later for about an hour Ramanath Rai listened to everything Baby said about her daughter Kavya. Baby also expressed her suspicion in Kavya’s death and demanded justice.

Assuring to do justice with the family Rai said, “Kavya’s death was unexpected, it should not have happened. I have already informed the police department to investigate the case and bring out the truth. I have also directed the Police Commissioner to do a thorough probe in this case. Kavya was a National-level Badminton Player, I will also try to get maximum compensation from the government”.

MLA Shakuntala Shetty, B H Qader, President of Women’s Congress Shalet Pinto and others were also present.
