Let Kamala and BJP leaders supporting her Blindly Swear at Kateel Temple – Mayor Kavitha

Mangaluru: The opposition hell-bent to defame Mayor Kavitha, on October 31, orchestrated a high Drama against her during the Council meeting.

After the council meeting Mayor Kavitha addressing the mediapersons said, “On October 20, I was attending a programme in Shaktinagar with the physically challenged children by giving up celebrating Diwali with my own children. On that night the watchman’s wife in our building, Sagar Pulemar Residency had chased my daughter. Unfortunately, I came to know about the incident only on October 26, and as a flat owner, I went to ask the watchman’s wife as to why she had chased my daughter out of the building. But the opposition leaders, Roopa and Pooja Pai went to the building and got themselves involved in the issue. Both of them have twisted the facts for personal and political gain”.

Mayor Kavitha further said, “On October 27, some media published this issue without understanding the reality. I have released all the CCTV footage to the media. I have also filed a complaint against Kamala for chasing my daughter during the night. Thinking that the issue would backfire, the opposition to aid Roopa and Pooja Pai got into action and took Kamala to the Wenlock Hospital where the duty doctor refused to admit her without finding anything wrong. On October 30, we collected the CCTV footage from Citadel apartment and I was shocked to see the footage in which my daughter was standing on the road for 42 minutes. If anything would have gone wrong with my daughter who was responsible?”

Kavitha also said, “Today the opposition is shouting slogans against me and demanding my resignation. If I have assaulted the watchman’s wife, let them come to Kateel Temple and swear it. I have not touched the Watchman’s wife, I am ready to swear it in front of Goddess Kateleshwari in the Kateel Temple. Let the opposition bring Kamala and let she too swear in front of Goddess Kateleshawri that I have assaulted her. Being a mother I too feel bad seeing my daughter standing on the road helpless for 42 minutes. It clearly shows in the CCTV footage that when my daughter was trying to come home, the watchman’s wife Kamala was chasing her and not letting her come home. Let Kamala and the BJP leaders who are supporting her blindly come to Kateel temple and swear in the truth of their statements.”
