Miscreants Pelt Stones on Shops at Natekal, Two held

Mangaluru: Miscreants pelted stones on shops at Natekal here during the early hours of January 8.

Miscreants who came on bikes pelted stones on some of the shops. When they tried to pelt stones at a Mosque the police who were on duty at some distance rushed to the spot and stopped them from damaging the Mosque.

When the miscreants saw the police they tried to flee from the spot but were unable to take the other bike. The police then identified the name of the bike owner.

They were able to damage only three shops in the locality. The Police have taken Jayaraj and Nitin from Sullia into custody for further investigations.

The timely intervention of the police helped in arresting the culprits and averting further damage.
