Amit Shah has Criminal Background, He should be Banned in Karnataka – Ivan D’Souza

Mangaluru: “The Congress government led by CM Siddaramaiah has completed 4 years and 8 months. There are only 100 days left for the forthcoming elections. The Congress will win more than 130 seats in the coming elections and will come to power. The BJP has started their campaign 6 months ago of making Karnataka a Congress-free state and the people of the state are watching them closely. People know the development work done by the Congress. The BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa organized the Parivarthana Yatra which was a flop show. BJP leaders are not showing much interest to attend the yatra and Yeddyurappa has complained to the national leaders about their non-cooperation for the Parivarthana Yatra”, said the Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza in a press meet held at the District Congress office, Mallikatta here on January 11.

Addressing the mediapersons Ivan D’Souza said, “BJP national leader Amit Shah came to Karnataka and said that whatever he had advised the BJP leaders to carry out was not done. Amit Shah had asked the BJP leaders to create unrest, go to jail, hold rasta roko’s, fight in the name of religion etc. They are not bothered about the development and the future. Amit Shah had directed the BJP leaders to create unrest, where there are murders to give religious colour and come to power. Amit Shah is known for violence and criminal activities.”

Ivan further said, Amit Shah is saying that the Congress government is anti-Hindu but according to me more than 95% of the Congress leaders belong to the Hindu community. Are they not Hindus? If 95% politicians in the Congress are Hindus how can Amit Shah say that Congress is anti-Hindu? BJP leader Ananth Kumar said that the BJP came to power to change the constitution. Whenever there are murders MP Shobha Karandlaje says the victims belong to the Hindu organizations. BJP leaders demand to ban SDPI but if Congress candidates contest the elections, the BJP makes friendship with the SDPI to field them against the Congress candidates by funding them. Amit Shah is coming to Karnataka to divide the state, he should be banned. If Amit Shah comes to Karnataka and spoils the peace and harmony in the state through his hate speeches we will stage a protest against him”.

Ivan further said, “When there are murders in Dakshina Kannada, Shobha Karandlaje says that they are congress sponsored murders and the victims are Hindus. BJP leaders are protesting to ban the SDPI and PFI, now since it is their own government in the centre, let they ban those organizations, why can’t they do so? By creating communal violence if BJP thinks of coming to power then the people of Karnataka will give them a befitting reply in the next elections. Recently Deepak and Basheer were murdered. I had visited Basheer’s house and the family members said that they will not hold any funeral procession and trouble others. We have visited both Deepak and Basheer’s house, they have co-operated well with us. We want to curb such incidents from occurring. During the visit to Deepak and Basheer’s house, CM Siddaramaiah had strictly instructed the police commissioner to take these cases seriously and punish the accused. Within few hours of the murder, the police had arrested the accused. We want the accused to be hanged and the BJP should support the government in curbing crime. They should not politicize murders.”

When asked about H D Kumaraswamy’s statement about the involvement of BJP corporator in the Deepak murder, Ivan said, “If H D Kumaraswamy has any evidence about the involvement of BJP corporator, let he produced it to the police. Without evidence, one should not comment or give statements.”
