Mangaluru: “In a newspaper, the BJP has advertised, “Makkala Atyachairgalige Gallu, Modi Sarkarada Katina Krama, Sidda Sarakarakke Eegalu Nidde” (Child rapists will be hanged, Ordinance approved by Modi government, Siddaramaiah Government is in slumber). In 22 states the BJP is in power but not even in one of those states the BJP has taken any action against rapists? The ordinance will only affect the BJP. I ask why did the BJP restrict the age only to 12, what about other rapes and murders? The advertisement will affect the BJP because more than 22 BJP MLAs and leaders are involved in rape and crimes”, said Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on April 24.

Addressing the mediapersons Ivan D’Souza said, “When there are cases against the BJP leaders, they are giving advertisement targetting the Congress. The BJP is giving wrong information to the people. While we go for the election campaign we will highlight this issue. When the elections are nearing, the BJP campaign, “Namma BJP, Namma Mane” is a violation of the Model code of conduct. Our house is ours, the BJP cannot call it their house. It can be the BJP campaign but the house they visit is not theirs. The Election commission should take strict action against such campaigns. We have decided to file a complaint with the Election commission”.

When the Congress goes for the election campaign we will ask questions, “Heliddenu Modiji, Madiddenu Modiji (What Modiji said and what Modiji did?)”, Modi said Achche Din Ayega but for whom?. Modi said to open bank accounts under Jan Dhan and he would credit Rs 5000 to every account, people opened bank accounts with Rs 1000 but now the account has been closed and Rs 1000 is also gone, let people ask the money back. Modi promised to bring back black money, why did he not bring it.

He promised to bring back Dawood Ibrahim to India, so far not done. Creation of 6 crore jobs but has created only 4 lakh jobs, through demonetisation promised to eliminate corruption and terrorism but 120 innocent people died standing in the queue to withdraw their hard-earned money. Petrol price hiked, in the international market fuel price per barrel is only $60 but the fuel price in our country has broken all records. At least with the black money recovered the BJP could have reduced the price for fuel. BJP has no moral rights to ask for votes because they have not honoured their promises.”
