Stop Gau Hatya, to Create a New Revolution’- Sadhvi Saraswati

‘Stop Gau Hatya {Cow Slaughter}, to Create a New Revolution’- Sadhvi Saraswati during a press meet at VHP Office, Mangaluru. Recalling a incident that happened in March 2015 in Mangaluru, a case was registered under Section 153 (A) against Her for disturbing communal harmony through her allegedly provocative comments she made at a function in the City.

Mangaluru: Sadhvi Saraswati, aged 21, hailing from Chhindwara district in Madhya Pradesh, who is a Hindu religious preacher and the president of Sanatan Dharma Prachar Seva Samiti interacted with the media persons during a press meet held at Vishwa Hindu Parishat Office, Kadri, Mangaluru on 27 April 2108. Often known for her provocative speeches at VHP functions where she is often a star speaker, she is reported to have taken ‘Sadhvi Deeksha’ at the age of 12 after being inspired by her grandfather and her father to narrate stories from Bhagawat Katha and the Ram Katha.

Sadhvi’s aim is to serve the cause of the ‘Hindu Rashtra’ as long as she lives. It is learnt that she has reportedly studied only till class III and dropped soon after as school work interfered with her narration of the sermon. Sadhvi’s father was the Vidarbha convenor of the Bajrang Dal and from a young age, she has been associated with the activities of the RSS and the VHP.

Addressing the media persons, Sadhvi said, ” I urge Hindus to stock arms at home to “save our women from love jihad. Strict punishments should be given to those who slaughter cows and consume Beef. We also relate the Gau Katha in the Bhagwad Katha because the manner in which cows are being slaughtered today, it is our duty to stop it. If gau hatya is stopped in Bharat desh, then a new revolution will occur. I appeal to the Government of India that those people who consider eating the meat of their own mother as a status symbol should be punished severely, then only people will know that it is our duty to protect ‘Gau Mata’”

She further said, “I decided to become a sadhvi at the age 12, in hindsight, that I never wished for the life of a citizen? I took the decision to become a sadhvi at the age of seven, and lived like a “normal person. I talk like you, I eat like you. Everything is the same. I want everyone to be like us. (But) it doesn’t mean that everybody takes up Sanyas. In our inner life must sacrifice worldly things. Anybody can become a Sanyasi…’Sadhvi ka matlab hai, apne jeevan ko sadhana’, which direction you want your life to go. It doesn’t only mean wearing saffron robes. In Sanskrit, Sadhvi for women… it is (used to refer to a person) who is learned, “Sanskari”, and religious. You can also be a Sadhvi,”.

Asked how she saw herself some years from now, she said she would dedicated her whole life to the cause of the Hindu Rashtra, and would serve “in any manner possible”. She said that she had studied up to Class III, but she was put off by it because it interfered with her ability to travel to narrate the Katha. Her association with the VHP and the Rashtriyaswayam Sevak Sangh began in childhood. It was in the last five or six years that she began to be associated with the VHP and participated in the programmes it organised.

“It’s nice to note that we all chant “Bharath Matha Ki Jai”, but how many of us live in harmony in India. There are hatred and communal tension, and Hindus are attacked and killed in many places. We need to stop such atrocities on Hindu women and Hindu community. Hindus need to unite and fight for justice. We need to follow our Hindu traditions and ideals, for a better Hindu Rashtra (Nation). I call upon all Hindu brothers and sisters to work in unity and live as one, and save our Hindu community and beliefs” added Sadhvi Saraswathi.

Other VHP Leaders namely Prof M B Puranik, Sharan Pumpwell, Jagadish K Sheneva, Gopal Kuthar, and Krishnamurthy were also present during the press meet.

Just like nuns in Catholic faith, we have Sadhwis in Hindu faith.
I am not aware of such a system in Islam and other religions. There are Jain Sanyasins and Bauddha sanyasins. Both these religions are iff shoots of Hinduism.
Trust she helps people live a pious life.
