BJP has No Moral Rights to Speak About Mulky Sundaram Shetty – Sushil Noronha

Mangaluru: “In the district, we have 7 BJP MLAs and one MP but they did not put any efforts to stop the merger of Vijaya Bank with the Bank of Baroda. The BJP spokesperson says that if the BJP comes to power in the state as well as in the Mangaluru City Corporation they will name the Light House Hill road after Mulky Sundaram Shetty. The BJP has no moral rights to speak about renaming the Light House Hill road after Sundaram Shetty because they failed to react nor have done anything to stop the merger of Vijaya Bank”, said JD(S) Spokesperson Sushil Noronha in a press release.

Sushil Noronha further criticized the BJP and said, “The MP of Dakshina Kannada is fooling the people of the district saying that he has brought Rs 16500 crores for the development of the District. But the reality is that he is including the funds of Rs 14,000 crores which are allocated for the National Highway. Rs 2500 crore will be spent on other projects. But MP is trying to take all the credit and saying that he brought Rs 16500 crores which is to fool the voters”.

On the unemployed youth who have completed their education, Sushil said, “The MP did not try to bring any industries to the district to create jobs to the youth. The Mangaluru International airport has been given to Adani for maintenance, the Mangaluru central and the Mangaluru Railway Junction has not been developed. We should ask the MP, how many new trains have started in Mangaluru? The intellectual people of the district should think well before casting their votes”.
