Baliga Murder Case, Naresh Shenoy Produced Before Court
Mangaluru: The prime accused in RTI Activist Vinayak Baliga’s murder, Naresh Shenoy, was produced before the court here, on June 27.
Vinayak Baliga was murdered by contract killers on March 21 at Kodialguthu. After the murder, Naresh was absconding.
Naresh Shenoy was arrested by the CCB Police led by Valentine D’Souza in Hejamadi at 12.30pm.
Special investigation officer ACP Tilakchandra along with Urwa Police Inspector Ravish Nayak brought Naresh Shenoy and produced him before the third JMFC Court. He has been sent to police custody for three days.
Prior to producing him to the court, Naresh was taken to Government Wenlock Hospital for medical Check-up.
Speaking to Mangalorean.com, Prof Narendra Nayak commended the police for arresting the prime accused Naresh Shenoy. “Hope the police will investigate the case the right way and the victim’s family will get justice,” added Nayak.
