One of the protesters said, “Our demand that the main accused, who has been absconding since March 21, be arrested. Instead of arresting him, the police are arresting us for demanding justice. We will continue our agitation until the main accused is arrested.” He also said that the MLA of Mangaluru South Constituency, J R Lobo visited the house of Baliga after the murder, but so far no action has been taken to arrest the main accused. “We do not want to disturb anyone, but the family members of Baliga should get justice,” he added.

Vinayak Baliga was murdered on March 21 by contract killers. In this connection, five people have been arrested and the investigation is still on.

More than 60 members including Baliga’s two sisters and niece, Prof Narendra Nayak, Muneer Katipalla, Gerald Towers and Nithin Kuthar were arrested by the police.

Have great regards for Mr JR Lobo, but in this instance his silence on the case appears..! As an elected representative, Mr Lobo should have been proactive in getting law enforcement to lay traps to catch the…! The same applies to Mr Nalin Kumar Kateel who seems to have done a ‘La Dawood Ibrahim’ on this case!!!
Mr Narendra Nayak we are with you and are confident you will get justice done!!!
