Ballari: After shooting to statewide and national-level limelight following her transfer under alleged pressure from a state minister, Anupama Shenoy, the deputy superintendent of police of Kudligi subdivision in the district, is back in her seat.
She resumed duty on Thursday, Feb 11 and picked up the threads where she had left. She reviewed the progress of the pending cases and steps to be taken in the immediate future.
A large number of citizens and representatives of organizations that agitated against her transfer came to meet and greet her. But she shied away from publicity and concentrated on her work. She told our correspondent that she had some health issues and hence had gone on leave.
As the panchayat elections are approaching, she was instructed to report back to duty at her previous desk. While she was grateful to the people and the media who supported her, she declined to comment on the transfer episode.
A large number of citizens gathered at Dr Ambedkar circle in the city and celebrated the return of their idol by bursting crackers.
Informed sources said that she underwent naturopathy treatment at Ujire near Beltangady in DK district during the leave period. Possibly because of this, she looked cheerful and energetic, in spite of the stress she underwent after the transfer episode,
