Builder’s House Burgled, Watchman and Housemaid Decamp with Cash

Update: The same woman was seen in Kalpane Kulshekar 21 days ago, entering a compound and peeping into the house through a window. She also rang the doorbell, but when she realized that there were many members in the house after hearing their voices, she fled from the compound. Later, when the CCTV footage was checked there was suspicion about why the woman had entered the compound, rang the door bell and disappeared immediately.

After reading the news and going through the pictures on Mangalorean.com, the house owner called the website’s office and said that the woman in the picture looked like the same one who had made a mystery visit to her house. She further said that nowadays it is very dangerous to trust any unknown person.
Mangaluru: A housemaid and the watchman decamped with cash from a builder’s house from Konchady here, on July 3.

According to the police, the builder Narasimha had employed a housemaid and a watchman recently. In the evening on July 2, Narasimha along with his family went out to meet their relatives. When they came back in the night, they were shocked to see the house was burgled. When they entered the house and checked the CCTV footage, they found that the employees had burgled their house and decamped with  cash.

According to the CCTV footage, Jyothi and Shiva, who were working as housemaid and watchman respectively, committed the crime at around 6:15 pm along with 4 others. They broke open the door by using a sharp object, entered the house and decamped with cash.

Both Jyothi and Shiva were staying in the outhouse and when Narasimha was out with his family, both committed the crime along with another four persons.

A case has been registered in the Kavoor police station. Fingerprint experts and a canine squad also arrived at the spot for further investigations.

Okay now first of all let’s blame the employees who stole the money and other valuables things- but on the other hand why would anyone keep over Rs 18 lakhs in the house.

Fully agree with Alfie D’souza. Possible that these culprits have been watching the builder handling big amounts and keeping the cash at home, which off course is not safe with current situations.
