Mangaluru: Dr Narendra Nayak, city-based consumer, and human rights activist and president of the Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations, has come out with a startling revelation regarding RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case.

In a media statement, he has claimed to have known from very reliable sources that state home minister, who is a Dalit, has ordered the city police to go slow on the investigations into the case.

Dr Nayak says it has allegedly been done as directed by a Brahmin godman, who is believed to be very close to the home minister.

Dr Nayak attributes this to the delay on the part of the city police in apprehending Naresh Shenoy, one of the accused in the case, who is still at large, even after two weeks have elapsed since the murder.

This, he says further, only goes to prove that the Congress government in the state is no different from the other allegedly communal parties, which it supposedly opposes.

Further, he adds, also brings to light the unholy alliance between religion and politics.

Dr Nayak says that the Federation of Indian Rationalist Associations strongly condemns this state of affairs.

He has announced that a protest rally will be held in front of the office of the deputy commissioner DK by the Deshapremi Sanghatanegala Vedike (Forum of Patriotic Organizations) at 10 am on Friday, April 15, 2016.
