Kambadakone school Students injured in bee attack

Kundapur: As many as 17 students of the Government primary School Kambadakone near Kundapur were injured when a swarm of honey bees attacked them on Thursday, December 1.

The injured students are identified as Harshitha (10), Sushanth (12), Subhash ( 12), Sujan (8), Adarsh (9), Harsha (12), Raghavendra (12), Preethesh (13), Shahank (11), Manikanta (13), Anannya (13), Prajwitha (7), Anjali (10), Shashikala (13) and Veekshitha (9).

According to sources, the students were on the school ground when a honeycomb atop a tree on the nearby house was apparently disturbed by an Eagle. The bees attacked the students who ran into the classrooms for cover.
Shashikala and Veekshitha who were attacked seriously were admitted to the hospital, while the other students were treated as outpatients and discharged from the hospital.
