Mangaluru: Minister for Health and Family Welfare, U T Khader once again showed his humanity at Konaje when he shifted an injured youth to the hospital here, on July 5.
The injured has been identified as Neil, a resident of Kulshekar.
Speaking to mangalorean.com, Minister Khader’s PA Libzat said, “Minister Khader, after breaking his fast, was on his way to Konaje to meet the shop owner whose shop was set on fire by miscreants on July 1.”
At Natekkal, the driver of a Maruti Ritz, while negotiating a curve, lost control of the car and hit a road side wall. The driver of the car was injured in the incident. While passing by, Khader spotted the incident. He asked the driver to turn the car around, got down, pulled the driver out of the car and took him to K S Hegde Hospital in his car and admitted him for treatment.
Later, the minister came back to the spot, gathered the documents from the damaged car and informed the victim’s family members. After the family members arrived to the hospital, Khader left the place.
The family members of Neil thanked Khader for his concern and his help in getting Neil to the hospital immediately for treatment.
It can be recalled that last year in a similar incident in Bengaluru, while Khader was on his way to attend an Iftar party, he had shifted an injured to the hospital in his car and had proceeded to the party by auto. There are also a number of other such cases where Minister Khader has helped victims without hesitation.
The world would be a better place if everyone followed the Minister’s example and helped fellow humans. Kudos to our minister who is always ready to help the needy anywhere and anytime.
