Mangaluru: Hephsiba Rani Korlapati IAS took charge as the new Commissioner of the City Corporation here on January 1, 2015.
Addressing the mediapersons after taking charge, Hephsiba said, “This is my first assignment as a Commissioner of Mangaluru City Corporation. I need some time to study the needs of the people in the district. I will assess the situation and requirements of the people and work hard to provide effective service. My main aim is to serve the people on time. For me time is very important and it always comes first.”
She continued and said that whenever people come to her with demands, she will give priority to the most important issues. “People focus on quality service which saves their time and travel.”
When asked about computerizing the Mangaluru City Corporation, Hephsiba said, “By computerizing the city corporation, people can save travel and time. Because paying taxes or others bills through online service will benefit the people. Urban development will be our priority.”
When asked about the work, she said, “There is no work pressure, I will try my best to deliver quality service.”
