Mangaluru: Two linemen fell from an electric pole while on duty near AB Shetty Circle here, on August 21.
Both of them were rushed to the KMC Hospital, Attavar. One of them died on the way to the hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Alex (45), a resident of Shaktinagar. The injured, Narayan (42) – a resident of Kavoor, has been shifted to another hospital in the city for surgery. He is said to have sustained a head injury.
Speaking to mangalorean.com, a MESCOM official said that on receiving a complaint, both Alex and Narayan had climbed the electric pole to do some repairs. While fixing the problem, they were electrocuted and fell to the ground.
Pandeshwar police are investigating the case.
