Mangaluru: Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader visited the First Super Star of Tulu film Industry K N Tailor at the Vinaya Clinic, Kadri here on February 15.
After visiting the hospital speaking to mangalorean.com U T Khader said that K N Tailor, a tulu stage play actor, director, producer and also the First Super Star of Tulu film Industry is admitted to the hospital. He is the one who is responsible in bringing a revolution in Tulu film industry. K N Tailor had acted in nine films out of the 18 films which were released during the golden period of the Tulu film industry. He is the man who showed the way for making commercial cinema. He was responsible for making people to buy tickets and watch Tulu stage plays and films. K N Tailor encouraged Tulu stage play artistes by forming the Ganesh Natak Sabha. His contribution to the Tulu language and literature is worth praising.
Khader further said that if the Tulu stage plays and the Tulu Movies have survived today, it is because of the initiative taken by K N Tailor. Now, it is our duty to help him in his needs. His health is not good and he has been hospitalized. We pray for his recovery and to get him back to normal.
We will support his family financially because this is the time we have got an opportunity to recognize his contribution to Tulunadu. Khader also said, “I will discuss the matter with the state ministers to support K N Tailor financially and also take care of his medical expenses”.
