Mangaluru: Planet SKS has been awarded “The Best Residential Project in Tier II City Under Ultra Luxury Segment by India’s largest business media channel CNBC Awaaz in its recently held real estate awards 2014 in New Delhi.
Architect and Promoter of Planet SKS Sanat Kumar Shetty welcomed the gathering.
Addressing the gathering Entrepreneur D B Mehta said that Planet SKS is the dream project of Sanath Kumar Shetty which is now a reality. He further said when we were young teachers used to say “Do Not build castles in the air”, but Sanath Kumar Shetty has taken it as a challenge and he has magnificently built 169 castles in 36 floors in the air in terms of Planet SKS which is a 125 meters tall.
He further said that the Real estate is not an industry, the central government has not given the status of industry. Not having any recognition as industry the real estate is giving 25,000 jobs organized and un-organized.
Real estate is nothing but nation builder. Real estate industry creates 25,000 jobs for both organized and un-organized employees. It is the largest employer after the agriculture industry. He said that with this this recognition it is a proud moment for the entire real estate industry.
Coffee planter Vinod Aranha and Credai president Pusphraj Jain also spoke on the occasion. Engineer Anand Shetty and K C Naik were also present.
The award evaluated over 12,000 projects across India and the winners were selected by an esteemed jury comprising Vice chairman & CEO HDFC LTD Keki Mistry, CEO Future group Kishore Biyani, Executive director ICICI Bank Rajiv Sabhrawal, Executive director Mahindra & Mahindra Arun Nanda, ABM Architect Altal Miller, Chairman Pranon Consultancy Praney Vakil, Founder Principal RizviCollege of Architecture Akhtar Chauhan, Partner D M Harish & Co Anil Harish and Partner AZB Zia Modi.
