"GETIT BizList Mangalore - Udupi 2009" was released later in the evening at 5.30 p.m at Hotel Gateway. The program began with an invocation by Mrs. Veena. Mr. Raghavendra Shastri (President of Dial BizList) escorted the guests to the dais. Mrs. Sunitha (D.G.M, GETIT BizList) welcomed and introduced the guests to the gathering. The guests were honoured with floral bouquets.

All the guests lit the traditional lamp before releasing the BizList.  Mr. Gopal Hosur, IPS (Dy. Inspector General of Police - Western Range) released the GETIT Bizlist Mangalore - Udupi 2009 and handed over the first copy to Mr. Balachandra (Director, Rajhans Enterprises, Bangalore).

Mr. Gopal Hosur in his guests' speech said that he was very happy to release this directory, because after his posting to Western Range, it was his first programme. He also thanked Mr. Raghavendra Shastri for giving him an opportunity to attend this releasing function. He recalled on the occasion, that the former President, Dr. A.P.J Kalam, was releasing one souvenir at Bangalore and he was sitting in first row. Dr. A.P.J took 5 minutes to open that pack to release the souvenir. But here it was very easy and was set in a very systematic way and we can find professionalism in their work, he said. Mr Hosur said that in his 29 years of service his desire was to work in Dakshina Kannada district, since the people of Dakshina Kannada are well educated, cultured and disciplined. :It took me 28 years to fulfill my desire and I am very happy to serve the people of Dakshina Kannada," he said.

Mr Hosur reacting to the recent incidents, assured that he will instill the confidence in citizens, especially by bringing back the police machinery. "Things have not gone so bad and we have a lot more time to bring it to normal. In Dakhsina Kannada 99% of the population was law abiding and only one percent of the rest were creating problems due to their bad conduct," he said. He urged the people to help the police force in restoring peace in the society. Mr Hosur suggested Mr. Ragavendra to create a directory of all the criminals and keep a record of their addresses, so that it will help the policemen to easily trace them!

Mr. Balachandra also spoke on this occasion and said that GETIT BizList was an essential tool for the people from all walks of life. He congratulated the entire team of GETIT Bizlist. Mrs. Pamela proposed vote of thanks.
