Kailash Kher, Anwar Hussein and Bickram Gosh create a magical spell in Abu Dhabi
  • ICAI - Abu Dhabi Chapter’s 21st Annual International Seminar grand finale

Abu Dhabi November 7, 2009:  Three remarkable singers Kailash Kher, Anwar Hussein and Bickram Gosh created a magical spell at the Armed Officers Club Lawns, Abu Dhabi on the occasion of  the Institute of Chartered Accountants Of India (ICAI) Abu Dhabi Chapter’s  21st   Annual International Seminar 2009. The live musical performance was witnessed by ICAI members and guests. 
 
The vivacious and vibrant Shobana compered the event.  The event was split up into a 3 sessions of soulful, fusion rhythmic and retro bollywood music. A Gala dinner was arranged at the venue and the show started  at 9.00 PM sharp.
 
Mr. Prakash Mehta - Chairman of ICAI along with the committee members organized this scintillating event as part of its silver jubilee celebrations.  He welcomed the guests who had come to witness this event and CA Uttam Prakash Agarwal President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India felicitated the sponsors, performers and  all those who had played a role in making this event a grand success.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The melodious and fabulous sufi musician "Khailas Kher" alongwith his band "Khailasa" regaled the listeners with songs like Touba Touba, Rang Dini, Tere Naam Se Jilu, Mei Tere Pyaar Mei Deewana Hogaya, Joban Chali Kahan, Janiya, Dol Bajda, Heere Mothi, Toota Toota Ek Parinda, and Chak De Patte to name a few.  His fans kept asking for more but then this session came to an end much  sooner than everyone  expected.
 
 It was now time for the audience to experience a different music version. Bickram Gosh  the Tabla maestro  and  his band rhythmscape (Chirangeet Laheri (Drums) V Suresh (Ghatam) Ambareesh Das (vocalist) Amit Dutta (Guitar) Pulak Sarkar (Keyboard) held the audience attention  and  stirred their  senses with a total fusion rhythmic blend.  The dance of Shiva, Zinc and Laagan Mori Lagore won appreciation from the audience who responded with wolf whistles and  a thunderous applause.
 
A raffle draw was conducted on the entry coupons and  prizes were given away to the winners.  Anwar Hussein bollywood playback singer who had won accolades and appreciation from late Mohammed Rafi  rolled out some oldies and continued to   entertain  the audience with his selection of songs - a blast from the past.  The final session continued till wee hours of morning.
