The spectators watched with rapt attention as the cultural agenda began with a lyrical & rhythmic inaugural dance by the fifth graders using the four seasons in a year as a metaphor for the temperaments in our life. Their theatrical presentation of 'The Wizard of Oz' was equally professional. Mahatma Gandhi's life and freedom struggle against the British was executed with flair by the first graders.
While the second graders recreated the retro era jiving to Boney M's pop music, the third graders set the stage ablaze with vivid colours and vibrant strains of the rustic folk music from the Indian desert in Rajasthan. Employing the eagle as the protagonist their enlightening skit on identity crisis and self discovery was aptly titled 'Wings to Fly'. The fourth graders captured the essence of the two basic colours; black and white in their clear, crisp and cute dance-music medley titled 'Black and White Sensations'. Their meaningful drama 'Dial 'M' for Magic' was executed in a Broadway musical style. The sixth graders portrayed a Red Indian story of how the butterfly got its colours in an exotic display. They also staged a hilarious Hindi play that kept the audience in splits. The teaching faculty pitched in with a song of thanksgiving to the parents.
