Bangalore, Sept. 1:  The Annual Aloysian Reunion was organized in Bangalore on 26th August. Over 200 Aloysians were gathered at St Joseph's Boys High School Hall. Fr Denzil Lobo SJ, Vice Principal, St Aloysius College welcomed the gathering, and gave a presentation on the growth of St Aloysius College during the last few years.

He especially mentioned the new initiatives which are being taken to have a new campus for Management and Information Technology. He said that the new campus will come up at Beeri, Ullal, and that the plot has already been purchased, and the work is expected to commence in another 5 months.

Fr Denzil spoke with a lot of enthusiasm about this new project which would cost around 25-30 cores. he mentioned that the campus will be built on International standards for residential programme sin Management ( MBA ) and Information Technology. The Institute will be named as St Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology ( AIMIT ).

Some of the alumni came forward, and spoke about their aloysian experiences. It was also felt that they should form a chapter of Alumni Association in Bangalore. ALBA - Aloysians @ Bangalore was chosen as the name for the Association. Mr. Rajesh Rao, CEO, Druva Interactive Pvt.. Ltd. was elected as the president of the Association. Mr. Amith Prabhu is the Secretary and Joyson is the Treasurer. The programme ended with dinner.
