Mangalore Dec 18: Christmas is the celebration of joy, peace and happiness. The staff and students of Fr. Muller's Institutions organized the Christmas program here on Monday, December 18, 2006.

The program started with a prayer dance by MBBS students. The atmosphere was festive, in keeping with the season of Christmas.

Fr. Denis D'Sa, welcomed the gathering. He said that when the month of December comes it brings with it the mood of festivities.  There is a feeling of joy and happiness everywhere, be it in shops, gifts, cards, preparation of Kuswar, the singing of carols etc. but the main happiness is in true message of Christmas.

The Nursing staff and MBBS students also sang Christmas carols.  Dr. Mohan Alva, the founder of the Alva's institution was the chief guest.

Fr. Stany Tauro, Incharge of Fr. Muller's presided over the program. In his presidential address, quoting on the life of Christ he said that the life of Jesus was mainly seen in healing the sick and the helpless. He not only cured them but blessed them too.  "As we celebrate Christmas here in this institution, may the same Christ bless and heal all the patients here" he said.
