Mangalore, November 10, 2009: The Annual Conference of Legion of Mary Association of Mangalore Commitcium was held at Samanvaya Hall, Urwastores on November 08, 2009.  Legion president Mrs Alice Lobo declared open the event by lighting the lamp.

As a part of the conference training in “Life Values and Life Skills” was conducted by Rev. Dr Ronald Cutinha the diocesean spiritual director of the Legion of Mary Association. He explained the need of possessing life values and life skills for a contended life through PowerPoint presentation.

The value inspired role models like Mahatma Gandhiji, APJ Abdul Kalam, Mother Theresa, Swami Vivekananda, Kiran Bedi and Sr Alphonsa were quoted heavily to drive home the lesson on life values.  The variety entertainment programme included skits, songs, jokes and dances.

The Secretary Margaret Rego read the report and treasurer Evelyn Sequeira presented the accounts. Udupi Curia representative Bro Godwin Gonsalves and one of the members of Bela Curia read the reports. Vice president Cynthia D’souza welcomed, president Alice Lobo proposed vote of thanks and Rosa Rego compered. Around 103 Legionaries from 17 parishes of the diocese of Mangalore were present.  Breakfast in the morning and a delicious and sumptuous meal in the noon were served to all.
