Mangalore Feb 20: An awareness programme on cyber law was organised by SDM Law College and Centre for Post Graduate Studies in Law here today 19 Feb 2007.

Resource person N Vijayshankar, Director of Cyber College, Chennai said that there is an urgent need of creating awareness among the public on cyber laws and crimes, in the country. He stressed the importance of knowledge in cyber laws not only among the legal experts and police personnel but also other professionals as Internet is being widely used in every sector. IT additional commissioner Parashivaiah gave a presentation on cyber laws.
