Police Raid House of Vedavyas at Mannagudda in Baliga Murder case

Mangaluru: The city police raided the house of Vedavyas Kamath at Mannagudda, in connection with the murder case of Vinayak Baliga here on May 4.

According to sources, the police team consisting of Inspector, Bunder police station Shantharam; Inspector of Urva Ravish headed by ACP Tilakchandra raided the house of Vedavyas in the Baliga murder case.

In Vinayak Baliga’s murder case Naresh Shenoy is the prime accused. Vedavyas Kamath is closely associated with Naresh Shenoy. Since Naresh Shenoy has been absconding, the police are trying to trace him.

On May 4, Police raided Vedavyas’s house to know whether Naresh is in contact with Vedavyas or if he has any information about Naresh.

RTI activist Vinayak Baliga was brutally murdered by contract killers on March 21 at Kodialguttu, above 25 meters from his residence, while he was on his way to the temple. Naresh Shenoy’s anticipatory bail plea has also been rejected. The Deshapreme Sanghatanegala Okkuta held a protest rally on April 3, demanding the arrest of Naresh Shenoy.
