Seven Fishermen go Missing with Boat in Deep Sea
Udupi: At least 7 fishermen have gone missing along with their boat after they left for deep sea fishing from Malpe Harbour.
The missing fishermen have been identified as boat owner Chandrashekar of Badanidiyoor, fishermen Damodar, Laxman, Satish, Ravi, Harish, Ramesh .
On December 13 all the eight fishermen had gone for deep sea fishing in their Suvarna Thribhuja Boat from the Malpe Harbor. Until December 15 the fishermen were in contact but after 1:00 am there was no contact with them.
Although several Indian Coast Guard ships have been deployed to conduct rescue operations till Sunday night they were not able to trace them.
A complaint has been registered in the Malpe Police Station in this regard.
