Shiroor Swamiji Sri Laxmivara Theertha (65), Dies
Udupi: Shiroor Swamiji Sri Laxmivara Theerta died in the hospital on July 19. He was 65.
Shiroor Swamiji was hospitalized on July 18, after he developed pain in his stomach and gradually his health deteriorated. Hospital sources confirmed that Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji died without responding to treatment.
Hundreds of devotees of Shiroor Math gathered in front of the Hospital. Tight security is in force in and around the hospital as well as in Udupi to avoid any untoward incidents.
