Shiroor Swamiji was not Matadeesha to Handover Sri Anna Vittala – Pejawar Swamiji

Udupi: “We did not hand over the idol of ‘Sri Anna Vittala” to Shiroor Swamiji because he has children”, so he was not a Matadeesha said the Pejawar Swamiji in Sirsi.

During a programme in Sirsi, Pejawar Swamiji said, “Shiroor Swamiji himself had accepted that he has children. He did not have the right to be a Swamiji. He was not a Matadeesha so we did not hand over the idol of Sri Anna Vittala to the Shiroor Swamiji”.

Pejawar Swamiji also said, “We do not have any enmity towards Shiroor Swamiji. But he had said that he has a son, so five of the Swamijis including myself decided not to attend the funeral of Shiroor Swamiji. I will not attend the funeral of Shiroor Swamiji”.

Speaking on the death of Shiroor Swamiji due to poisoning, Pejawar Swamiji said, On July 18, Laxmivara Theertha’s Swamiji’s brother had called me and said that after consuming the fried rice, Swamiji developed stomach pain. But today he has filed a complained of poisoning. I do not know what is the reason for his death. The post-mortem has been done and we are waiting for the report.”
