Udupi: Leopards have been in the news in the coastal districts during the past few years.
Early this month, many cases of pet dogs having gone missing from homes in and around Panjimar near Shirva were reported.
After a break of a few days, they are in the news again. Last week, many dogs have disappeared from their owners’ homes.
A calf tied with a rope in the yard of a house was found dead with tearing and biting injuries. After the residents requested the forest personnel, they have set up a cage near the Sode Math in Panjmar on Monday.
Because of the erratic appearance of these cats in different places, the residents are scared to move around in the nights.
