Udupi: Union Minister for water resources, river development and Ganga rejuvenation Uma Bharti arrived to the city to attend the Paryaya here on January 17.
Uma Bharti speaking to mediapersons in the Krishna Math said, “I am very pleased to attend the Paryaya of my guru Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji. He is a great saint of India and he is the second Swamiji to ascend the Paryaya for the fifth time. Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji is my guru and he has given me the Sadvi Deeksha. It is a great moment in my life that my Guru Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji is ascending the Paryaya for the 5th time”.
She further said that Sri Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji has brought many social reforms by opening schools and educating the poor and the less fortunate children.
When a question regarding politics was asked, Uma Bharti refused to answer and said, “I am here for the Paryaya and this is not the time to answer any question related to politics.
