VHP and BD Objects New Year Party in Pubs and Hotels, Submits Memorandum to Police Commissioner
Mangaluru: The members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal submitted a memorandum to the police commissioner T R Suresh on December 27, condemning Music parties and Drinks in hotels and pubs on the night of December 31.
VHP District President Jagadish Shenava and Bajrang Dal President Sharan Pumpwell along with other members of the VHP and BD met Police Commissioner T R Suresh at his chamber. They said that on December 31 night in the name of New Year Party, hotels and pubs are organizing DJ parties, dance and drinks which the VHP and BD strongly condemns.
At present, Love Jihad is rampant in the district and such programmes will tempt girls to take part in parties. To avoid such a situation, the police should not give permission to hold DJ parties in Pubs or Hotels. Pubs and bars should close before 11:00 pm on December 31.
In the memorandum, it is also mentioned, “If any untoward incident takes place in the district during this time the police department will be held responsible”.
Who are these people to condemn. Who gave them the right interfere in others life. Everyone has the right to live their life and enjoy it. Police commissioner should take this issue seriously and punish those who try to create violence in the name of condemning new year parties.
