10-year-old girl Commits Suicide by Hanging
Uppinangady: A 10-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself in the upper room of her house at Heerebandadi here on July 16.
The deceased has been identified as Priya (10) a resident of Heerebandadi.
According to the police on July 16, when Priya asked her mother to tie her hair, her mother scolded her. Angered by it, Priya went upstairs. When Priya did not come down, family members searched for her and found her hanging to the ceiling with the skipping rope. It is learnt that Priya used to get angry now and then if her demands were not met. She would go and lock herself in the bathroom.
Uppinangady police have registered a case and are investigating.
