13-year-old Girl Hangs herself after Mom tells her Not to Use Cellphone
Padubidri: In a tragic incident a 13-year-old girl hanged herself at her home in Padubidri on April 13, after her mother told her not to use the mobile phone the whole day.
The deceased has been identified as Sumana(13) (name changed).
According to the police the girl was studying in 7th standard in a school in Padubidri. On Monday, Sumana’s mother told her daughter not to use the mobile phone the whole day and asked her to help with her work. Upset with her mother, Sumana tied a shawl around her neck and hanged herself to the Iron pipe in the Bedroom. The mother who noticed it rushed Sumana to a Private hospital in Udupi but she breathed her last on the way.
A case has been registered in the Padubidri Police Station.
