136 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on August 1
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 136 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 1 taking the total number of positive cases to 4492.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1811. So far, 2646 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 35 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
30 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 446 throat swab samples are pending for results, 736 samples were sent for testing on August 1 and 716 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 27463 swab samples out of the 32401 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
