15-year-old Drowns in Netravati River
Mangaluru: A 15-year-old boy drowned in the Netravati river near Jalakadakatte at Boliyar here on June 20.
The deceased has been identified as Fazil (15) from Nadupadav, Konaje.
According to sources, on June 20, Fazil along with his friends had gone for work to a nearby farm. After work, all the friends went to the nearby river to freshen themselves. While Fazil was in the water, he slipped and drowned.
Friends who were nearby screamed for help. The locals rushed to help, but without any success. At around 2:00 pm, Fazil’s body was found in the river.
The Konaje police visited the spot for further investigations.
