152 Persons Test Positive and 8 Die of COVID-19 in DK on Sept 7
Mangaluru: According to the district health bulletin, 152 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus and 8 persons have died of COVID-19 in Dakshina Kannada district on September 7.
Out of the 152 positive cases, 65 persons are suffering from influenza-like illness (ILI), 4 persons are suffering from Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI). The health officials are tracing the contacts of 83 others.
Out of the 152 cases tested positive, 71 persons are from Mangaluru, 32 from Bantwal, 18 from Puttur, 16 from Sullia, 9 from Belthangady and 6 from other districts.
Meanwhile, 313 persons were also discharged from the hospital and COVID Care Centres after complete recovery.
So far 15078 positive cases have been reported in the district and 409 of them have died of the disease. At present, there are 2915 active cases in the district.
