Udupi: Following a death threat to Shree Vishweshatheertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math on a Facebook post, the Paryayathosava Swagatha Samiti submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police Annamalai here, on Monday, November 23.

The post appeared after Pejawar Swamiji’s statement during VHP leader Ashok Singhal’s tribute programme, which was held on Sunday at Udupi, that “fulfilling the dream of constructing a Ram Mandir at Ayodhya would be the right tribute to Singal”. The Swamiji had called upon the followers of Singhal to take up the campaign for Ram Mandir.
SP Annamalai who received the complaint, instructed Udupi Town CPI Srikanth Rao to register an FIR. The complaint has been transferred to Bangalore Cyber Crime section.
