161 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on September 1
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 161 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on September 1 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 11757.
Among the 161 new cases, 85 are from Udupi, 57 from Kundapur, 13from Karkala, and 6 from outside the district.
As of now, 365 throat swab samples are pending for results, 930 samples were sent for testing on September 1 and 576 samples were tested negative. A total of 60163 swab samples out of the 72285 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2307. So far, 9351 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 99 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
