Washington, Dec 6 (IANS) American legend Michael Phelps won the 200 metres butterfly, the third victory in three days in the US Winter Swimming Championships at the King Aquatic Center.
The 30-year-old, leading easily at each turn, on Saturday finished in one minute 56.11 seconds, which is not as fast as the world record of 1:51.51 minute set by himself in Roma in 2009. Chase Kalisz was second at 1:57.19, reports Xinhua.
Phelps won the 100m butterfly on Friday and 200m individual medley on Thursday.
The 18-time Olympic champion is preparing for his fifth Olympics next year in Rio de Janeiro.
