Manchester: On December 19, KCA UK organised the Christmas celebration, which is popularly known as ‘Christmas Boom’. This is one of the events hosted by KCA UK which attracts people from different communities to come together and share some memorable moments. The event was held for the ninth successive year here, at St. Mary’s Church Hall Stockport.
There were around 28 families gathered from all over United Kingdom to participate in this fun filled evening.
The event started with an entertainment for kids from BAZ Entertainment, which lasted for an hour. The event was official kicked off at 8.00 pm with a melodious song ‘Rocking around the Christmas tree’ from Melisha Barboza. Well known Master of Ceremony, Joseph Sequeira from Warrington gave a gracious start to the event. KCA UK president Santhosh Pinto welcomed the guests and urged them to take complete advantage of all the activities lined up for the evening.
The crowd’s excitement was high when Santa Claus came onto the stage, which was followed by a carol singing by children and ladies. The kids of KCA UK brilliantly performed the nativity play, which was well appreciated by the gathering.
Santa gave away presents to all the children. Benson Moras from Leeds as Santa, along with some outstanding music, gave a thrilling beginning to the event. This was followed by some exciting games both for men and women. Santhosh Pinto conducted the games.
Joel Pinto and family was kind enough to bring the ‘Kuswar’ to the event.
Ancita D’Souza, Stany Mendonca, Daniel Nienaar and Meghan Pereira brilliantly exhibited their talent of singing.
A delicious dinner was served to all, which was well coordinated by Ronald Lobo, Anil D’Souza and Martin Saldhana.
Charlotte & Vinod Barboza offered sincere thanks to those who worked hard to make the event possible and successful. They wished all the participants a happy new year.
The delightful evening continued with the prize draw, which was coordinated by Marina Monis. Ten lucky people won the prizes. Swata Giri won the Christmas Hamper, where as Sunitha Fernandes and family, won the ‘family of the day prize’. Mr & Mrs Benson Moras and Mr & Mrs Reo D’Souza honoured the winners.
In the closing hour of the event, all participants were engaged in the nonstop dance.
