167 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on September 2
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 167 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on September 2 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 11924 .
Among the 167 new cases, 92 are from Udupi, 19 from Kundapur, 52 from Karkala, and 4 from outside the district.
As of now, 357 throat swab samples are pending for results, 971 samples were sent for testing on September 2 and 812 samples were tested negative. A total of 60975 swab samples out of the 73256 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2221. So far, 9601 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 102 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
