17-year-old Student Commits suicide at Uppinangady
Uppinangady: A 17-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself to the roof of the toilet at Hosamajalu here on August 2.
The deceased has been identified as Shabda (17), a resident of Hosamajalu, Uppinangady.
Shabda was a first-year student of Government College Uppinangady.
Shabda committed suicide at her grandmother’s place. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The Uppinangady police have reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in the Uppinangady police station.
