17-year-old Student Stabbed in Kundpaur College Campus
Kundapur: A 17-year-old student was allegedly stabbed by an old student of Junior College Kundapur on Thursday, November 29.
The injured student has been identified as Anup Sherigar (17) a resident of Uppinakudur. He is a second year Arts student of Kundapur Junior College. The accused has been identified as Mithun Alias Yama who is an old student of the same college.
According to sources, a few days ago there was a clash between Anup and other students of the same college. A group of students had planned to assault Anup with the help of people from outside the college. They made a deal with Mithun Alias Yama who is also an old student of the college. On Thursday morning Mithun entered the school campus, stabbed Anup five times and fled from the spot.
Anup was rushed to the local hospital where he had to undergo surgery. Currently, Anup is responding to the treatment and is out of danger. The police are now searching for the accused.
Udupi District Additional SP Kumarachandra, Kundapur PSI Harish R Naik and other police personnel visited the spot.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Police Station and investigation is on.
