173 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi Dist on July 29
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 173 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on July 29, taking the total number of positive cases to 3895.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1547. So far, 2323 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 25 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the district.
As many as 42 persons with symptoms of Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI), Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) and COVID suspects have been admitted to the isolation wards in the district.
As of now, 835 throat swab samples are pending for results, 824 samples were sent for testing on July 29. On July 29, 487 samples were tested negative. So far, a total of 25530 swab samples out of the 30260 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
