174 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on August 28
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 174 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on August 28 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 11087.
Among the 174 new cases, 67 are from Udupi, 85 from Kundapur, 13 from Karkala, and 9 from outside the district.
As of now, 524 throat swab samples are pending for results, 515 samples were sent for testing on August 28 and 600 samples were tested negative. A total of 57691 swab samples out of the 69302 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 2608. So far, 8384 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 95 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
