175 Persons Test Positive For Coronavirus in Udupi District on September 5
Udupi: According to the district health bulletin, 175persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Udupi on September 5 taking the total number of positive cases in the district to 12511.
Among the 175 new cases, 106 are from Udupi, 34 from Kundapur, 31 from Karkala, and 4 from outside the district.
As of now, 257 throat swab samples are pending for results, 1435 samples were sent for testing on September 5 and 1250 samples were tested negative. A total of 64123 swab samples out of the 76891 have tested negative for the coronavirus.
The number of active cases in the district has now gone up to 1906. So far, 10493 patients have been discharged from the hospital after complete recovery, and 112 persons have succumbed to COVID-19.
