18 including Three Cops, Pregnant Woman Test Positive for Coronavirus in Udupi, Four Police Stations Closed for 48 Hours – DC Jagadeesh
Udupi: Three policemen posted in the containment zone in various places of the district have tested positive for the Coronavirus on May 24. The Udupi district reported 18 positive cases on Sunday.
In a video message deputy commissioner, G Jagadeesh said, “On Sunday a total of 18 positive cases including three policemen and a pregnant woman were tested positive for coronavirus in Udupi district. Out of the 18 positive cases, 13 had returned from Maharastra, one from Telangana and the district administration is tracing the travel history of the other four persons, including the pregnant woman.”
DC Jagadeesh also said, “Four police stations including Ajekar, Brahmavar, Karkala town and Rural police stations have been closed for two or three days for disinfection process”.
