18-year-old girl Commits Suicide by Hanging
Kundapur: A young girl committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan at her residence at Biddalkatte here on December 20.
The deceased has been identified as Kavana (18), daughter of Ramachandra Achar, a resident of Biddalkatte, Hebri.
According to the police, on December 20, Kavana did not come for the morning breakfast from her room. As usual, her father called her out but he did not get any response from Kavana. Ramachandra then went to look for her in her room but the room was locked from inside. He then got suspicious and informed the neighbours. Later with the help of the neighbours the door was opened by force and for their surprise, they found Kavana hanging to the ceiling fan. She was immediately rushed to the hospital but she breathed her last on the way.
The police found a death note in the room which was addressed to her parents and brother asking for forgiveness for taking the extreme step.
Kota police have registered a case and investigation is on.
