18-year-old Girl Jumps into Swarna River
Udupi: An 18-year-old girl jumped from the bridge to Swarna River at K G Road, Santhekatte here on September 28.
The girl has bee identified as Chaitra (18), daughter of Chandra Shekhar, Santhekatte, Kallianpur.
According to eyewitnesses, Chaitra was standing on the K G Road Bridge and talking to someone on the phone. All of a sudden she jumped from the bridge into the Swarna River.
Kumarswami DySP Udupi, Shrikanth CPI, Brahmavar police and the fire brigade reached the spot. Search is on for Chaitra.
Brahmavar police registered the case
